ORIGINAL PRINT DESIGN
Plantopia
Prints that blend in with nature will be key as consumers foster a deeper connection with the great outdoors.
Why is it key? As the A/W 25/26 forecast notes, textures inspired by plants and made from bioor plant-based materials will create a skin that seamlessly blends with its surroundings.
At this year's Met Gala, JG Ballard's dystopian story The Garden of Time inspired the dresscode. Attendees outfts adorned with realistic-looking flora and fauna spark a renewed interest in the perennial print for occasion and partywear. The plant backdrop to Gucci's Pre-Summer 25 collection confrms the trend.
Design direction: emphasize foliage over florals. Use an all-green palette to turn designs into camoufage. Choose biomaterials, dyes and inks.

Rodeo renaissance
TikTok's CowboyCore views hit +299% YoY, highlighting that Western themes are here to stay.
Why is it key? Western themes are a cultural zeitgeist, from US artists Lana Del Rey and Beyoncé's country-inspired albums to American model Bella Hadid's professional cowboy boyfriend.
Last season's CoastalCowgirl TikTok trend will evolve into decorative iterations. Alongside the increase in spots on the catwalks, draw inspiration from leather stud work to create stippled effects for prints. This feminine angle speaks to the NuBoheme trend and softens Western-inspired prints for commercial appeal.
Design direction: be inspired by CowboyBoot patterns and turn florals and flourishes into dainty dots. Digitally print stippled designs for a sustainable alternative to embellishments. Use patterns for embroidery Anglaise for a mono-material solution.

Fragile lands
Noted on the catwalks, Natures Texture will uptick as consumers value natural imperfections.
Why is it key? Texture prints are having a moment thanks to their transseasonal versatility and the evolution of consumers' lovefor plains.
The latest iteration features burnt and cracked textures, driven by a blend of our A/W 25/26 forecast story Fragile Lands and trending FiredEarth palettes.
Design direction: charred tortoiseshell markings will succeed the TrueLeopard trend. Disguise florals among scorched effects and SoftFocus blurs. Embrace the intensity of Neon Flare, a key colour for the season, to bring attention and energy to collections. As this story spotlights climate urgency, choose sustainable practices to avoid backlash. Along with digitally printing onto GOTs and BCI cotton, offer product swap or repair schemes to promote circularity.

CircusAct
Partywear prints will get a childlike makeover to meet consumer demand for Glimmers of joy.
Why is it key? As forecasted, CircusAct is gaining pace across the catwalks and influential brand collections as consumers dress up for self-expression and indulgence.
This direction is a welcome antithesis to LowKeyLuxury. It will appeal to consumers who crave escapism.
Design direction: conversationals made up of confetti spots, optical shapes and a smatteringof stars are key. Stay clear of animal motifs to avoid the circus's historical links with animal cruelty. Make optical NewWave your geometric and replace Checkerboard with harlequins. Mix vibrant shades for an optimistic mood, especially for Sheer tops, as analysed on TrendCurve+.

Offbeat skins
Capitalise on the obsession for TrueLeopard and SnakeSkin by channelling other off-kilter animals for newness.
Why is it key? Realistic-looking animal skins are back in the limelight as they can be worn repeatedly and still add a fashion feel to any outfit. Consumers have already bought into the leopard and snakeskin trend for 2024. Expect a demand for more unusual animal skins for A/W 25/26, such as Italian brand Genny's tortoiseshell print on the catwalks.
Design direction: think beyond typical skins, from whispery human hairs to bird feathers and bug shells. Trompeloeil prints offer an ethical way to harness this trend, Stick to a muted neutral palette to cater to all markets and create items with longevity.
