How to maintain silk

In silk, brocade, antique satin, large flowered soft satin, georgette, golden velvet, zhang velvet, makeup satin, golden treasure, and light yarn, silk, yarn-dyed taffeta silk, etc., can not be washed but can only Dry cleaning. Silk fabrics that can be washed should be washed with their own characteristics and use different washing methods. The following are some common knowledge about silk fabric maintenance:

Dark-colored clothing or silk fabrics should be washed separately from light-colored ones;

Sweaty silk garments should be washed immediately or soaked in clean water, and should not be washed with hot water above 30 degrees;

When washing silk, use acid detergent or light alkaline detergent, preferably special detergent for silk;

It's best to wash by hand, and avoid rubbing it hard or scrubbing with a hard brush. You should knead gently and throw it out with clean water. Gently squeeze out the water with your hands or towel, and dry it in the shade;

Ironing should be done when it is 80% dry, and it is not advisable to spray water directly, and iron the reverse side of the garment, and control the temperature between 100-180 degrees;

When storing, it should be washed, dried, stacked, and wrapped in cloth, placed in a cabinet, and should not be placed in camphor or hygienic balls.
